This website was launched in October 2006 as part of the POCKET project on Low Back Pain. Since that time, the POCKET Network has provided invaluable input and feedback to a number of projects undertaken by members of the POCKET Steering Committee and beyond. The Steering Committee wishes to thank the POCKET Network members for their continued commitment and enthusiasm.
The POCKET Steering Committee has worked over the past few years to identify EI family physicians and invite them to join a network for ongoing knowledge exchange.
Approximately 140 Ontario physicians in family medicine have already been identified but it is time to refresh the network and add new members. We will be surveying family physicians across Ontario, in October and November 2010, asking them to identify and acknowledge their trusted colleagues and the vital role that they serve in their practice community. The survey will be sent electronically through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Responses will be collated and those physicians identified more frequently by their colleagues will be invited to join the POCKET network - they will of course have no obligation to participate. The POCKET Steering Committee wishes to thank the Canadian Hypertension Education Program (CHEP) for its support in this activity.
The purpose of this site is to provide a quick and easy way for the POCKET Network to:
- view information about the history of the network
- access clinical resources on topics that the Network has been engaged in developing
- request additional materials/resources
If you are not a part of POCKET but are interested in clinical resources that have been developed using feedback from the POCKET Network, we invite you to explore this site.
